What are some good books to read to learn more about Economics? I have one on my 'To Read Later' list => Good Economics for Hard Times, by Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo, but it's the only one I have.
And maybe just asking for books is too restrictive? Maybe there are some really informative podcasts or websites or - perhaps - even blogs or newsletters one could subscribe to?! ;)
Let me rephrase the question: What are some good (approved by Anirban) resources to learn more about Economics?
With such a huge need for workers, why can't we increase legal immigration? what would be the easiest (relatively) thing to do considering the political environment right now? What would be the most effective-- regardless of who is in office?
The SCOTUS has taken a hard right turn with the Roe v Wade decision and other pending decisions that might impact social issues that will translate into business issues. Already some large corporations and taking a stand the counter the Roe decision and the patchwork of state regulations will further complicate the landscape. If this pattern follows for SCOTUS decisions on other social issues it can create a economic disincentive for location decisions and have significant impact on employees and HR issues. Has there been other decisions that have snowballed to impact the economy and will the conservative court hurt the ecconomy?
Do you think the tiny house manufacturing (ie: Boxabl) is going to be something that catches on or it just a fad so people don't way that they live in a mobile home?
With such a shortage of housing, do you think a rise in mortgage rates will crush the housing market, or just return it to normal? What sectors of the housing market do you believe are strongest and which are most vulnerable?
